Cricket Homa
A Cricket Homa (fire ritual) was performed before the start of the 2011 Cricket World Cup to wish the Indian cricket team to win their 2nd World Cup and the 1st one on Indian soil.
It was done on February 10th to invoke the energy of Mars, who governs the domain of sports and provides the physical and mental strength needed for excellent performance.
Victory Homa
A Victory Homa (fire ritual) was performed on the eve of the Finals of the 2011 Cricket World Cup between India and Sri Lanka to pray for success to the Indian cricket team.
It was done on April 2nd to invoke the energies of 6 Hindu Gods of Victory – Hanuman, Veerabhadra, Karuppasamy, Muruga, Trivikrama and Durga – to overcome any challenges in winning the World Cup.
